New Team member
we would like to introduce a new team member: Marko Stamenovic. He has a good University and aeronautical background, and will help with us in the air frame. He works for a small company in aerodynamic design. Quoting Marko: the reason why I am challenged is that contrary to other efforts (eg e-volo) we want to make it a more compact and practical craft, and put the choice to offer efficiency for more practical size.

We got a positive reaction of the award organizing team, we would like to share:
"The submission deadline for the first phase of the international competition is fixed by the 1st of October 2014. We cannot create a new category as we are approaching our deadlines. Nevertheless, the idea of drones carrying persons is a great idea and if you can conceptualize it in a way to improve people’s lives you can definitely participate in the international competition"
So we think for the next edition we might have a chance and demo what man drones can mean for the good of humanity:
Participation in Innovations Support
In discussion with some innovation funds we consider what we can do to participate. with one of such funds we can have a discussion next week.
Configuration of the craft
This week we as a team tried to find out different easy configurations. We decided that in order to boost the range of the craft we can only use larger propellers at lower speeds. A belt drive reduction or a larger multipole motor would be the options. We are now aiming to work out the belt drive option.
For the prop design we had a very good advice of a german prop designer. We think that we can have a special purpose prop designed by him and see great potential for such applications.
